Raycomm are a UK based, custom software and electronics design and development service company creating
bespoke electronic products, mobile device software applications, backend web server software and
e-commerce database software.
Raycomm has extensive experience in Telematics using both GPRS mobile networks and the Iridium Satellite
network. We have developed applications for tracking the movement of vehicles both within a country and
worldwide. Mapping has been provided using both Microsoft MapPoint and Google Maps.
Other areas include the collection of data from remote sensors to central server software written using
C# using the .NET 2.0 framework. Access to the Internet can be provided by both traditional ISPs and via
3G/GPRS modems and data transferred using TCP, UDP, SOAP or HTTP.
Raycomm has developed many custom protocols to ensure data integrity when transmitting data over
internittent network connections. Recent projects have involved the use of SMS messaging and email
systems for the exchange of data and control messages.
